About This Project

Implementation of a SAP subledger and IFRS 9 for a german Landesbank

Project Scope:

  • Build-up of a synchronized multi-GAAP capable accounting-architecture (SAP AFI component)
  • Perspectively, the bank management should be based on the SAP Bank Analyzer with the help of IFRS figures (e.g. regulatory reporting, controlling, credit risk, limit steering, asset and liability management, etc.)
  • Execution of an integrated financial architecture in a SAP system landscape

Project Results:

Functional: Adjustments regarding IFRS 9

  • Changes in categorisation and valuation
  • Impairments based on an expected cash-flow model
  • Hedge accounting

Technical: Implementation of a SAP subledger scenario

  • Delivery of business transactions and valuations to the SAP Bank Analyzer
  • Removal and adjustment of the „old“ HGB accounting system
  • Set-up of a bank management platform (Enterprise Data Warehouse)
