About This Project

Spin-off of an investment division for a domestic bank

Project Scope:

The objective of the project was to spin off a bank’s investment arm into a newly created investment bank. The Bank’s investment division is active in the manufacture and sale of financial products to private and business clients as well as institutional clients. Furthermore, market making services are provided for exchange-traded products and asset management activities. The newly created Investment Bank should be a separate new legal entity with a lean and efficient infrastructure.

Project Results:

  • Definition and development of a lean and efficient goal IT and process architecture
  • Definition of migration paths and processes for the transition of the portfolio
  • Migration of IT applications and simultaneous integration into a newly defined efficient IT infrastructure
  • Transfer of the issuer obligations of the bank to the new investment bank
